Official Description

Over the course of the semester, students will study the work of contemporary graphic novelists, explore sequential art as a story medium, and learn to script, storyboard, draft, ink, and color their own graphic novel pages. Areas of focus include: script formatting and character design, as well as both page and panel composition. No prior experience necessary. All drawing abilities welcome.

Student Description

Intro to the Visual Narrative is a class about communicating stories through drawing. Learning to use elements such as line, color, and composition, as well as construct a script and design characters were all a focus in this class, taught through reading, hands-on practice, and project completion.
