Daraun
Hello, I am Daraun White and I am from Augusta, Maine. I plan on graduating in 2025 with a Data Science major and a Communications minor, with goals of working for big companies like Apple, Google and Amazon. I chose UNE due to the location and the opportunities that came with it, as I am a part of the football team here at UNE. Being a part of something while going to school that demands the same amount of time has taught me the importance of time management
skills and how to use them efficiently.
I hope this handbook has taught you some important things and points you in the right direction to success in your time at UNE. As this handbook shows the different views and lifestyle choices of many of UNE’s treasured students.
Skyler
Hello, I’m Skyler Garcia. I’m a senior Medical Biology Major with Art and Writing Minors. I am also a Community News Fellow, and the president of Zephyr, UNE’s artistic journal. Two big things I’ve learned from being here are the importance of connections and that there are resources in many places that will be helpful if you’re just willing to ask. I hope that this guide gives some useful information and insights about how to be successful at UNE.
Wesley
Hi my name is Wesley Chandler, I’m one of the Massachusetts students who attend UNE. I decided to become a Nor’easter because of the programs the school has to offer and the football program we have. I’m currently a communications major but intend to minor in business as well. With that I plan to get an internship while at school and get a good marketing job. The two biggest things I’ve learned since attending the University is use your time wisely so you can have fun when it comes to your weekends and to never be afraid to ask for help when your struggling.
